Cookies

Recently, in advertising class, we were taught about "cookies", which are objects you put between the light source and the subject to add shadows and depth. I used a piece of red fabric with holes in the design to create this photo of my friend, Angie. I really enjoyed this project, and want to practice with it more in the future.

A Visit with Angie

I had the pleasure of photographing my friend, Angie, at the end of January when she came into town. These are some of my favourites from the shoot.

Around Town

We had an exam the other day where we had to shoot 10 photos portraying a theme we were given. My theme was verticals, and these are a couple of my favourites from the set.

Final Critique

These are photos I took while working on my final critique submission in first semester.

Song Lyric

Last semester we got a project in Composition and Design class, where we picked a song lyric, and took a photo to portray it.

I chose the song "Poster of a Girl", by Metric.

Product Shots

I took these photos for Advertising class recently. I never realized the amount of time and effort that goes into product photography before this semester began.

Riley

This is Riley, my sister's dog, on top of Mount Douglas. Riley is so used to getting her photo taken now, that she gets excited when I bring my camera out. I pretend it's because she loves me, and not because I usually give her treats if she poses for me.

50's Kitchen

My friend (and fellow classmate) Willow, has an amazing retro kitchen, so I decided to photograph her in it for my photoshop final. We had to make an "impossible photo" by combining three images into one.

Portraits

Some portraits (of fabulous people) that I've taken throughout first semester.
